Self reflection

At least 3 learning goals (3 specific things you want to learn)

I want to learn what podcasting is, better develop my e-portfolio, and gain a better understanding of what the web has to offer for applications.

Well I have learned what podcasting is and at this point can get to the end result; time and experience will only make this easier. I have added to my e-portfolio and polished it a bit but view it as a work in progress. As far as gaining an understanding of what the web has to offer I feel overwhelmed almost at what is out there for just social networking.

To feel comfortable using the different techniques and make use of them in the classroom.

There is still room for improvement but I feel that this class has made me aware of what is out there for techniques and applications. The glimpse into what they have to offer provides me the ability to seek out classes that will increase my ability to successfully use the applications.
At least 1 fear (of the course/content)

I am anxious about using the applications that I am not familiar with.

I was frustrated more than I cared to be this semester but it wasn't all due to the class there was a lot going on with family that had my mind elsewhere. There are some applications that I am not necessarily anxious about but don't see myself having a need to use them and then there are others that I want to definitely hone my skills so that I can use them effectively and efficiently in my classroom.

I think that Alex did a great job explaining the applications, the edvibes which I believe he created explained clearly what each application was.


I want to further explore and learn about creating digital storyboards and slideshare, so that I can show students how to use them in creatimng their own projects.

Digital storyboard week 11

Here is what I created for my digital storyboard. I created this as an example for students. My idea was to have students pick a poem that they liked and create a storyboard that goes with the poem. Optimally I would have them recite the poem and record their voice to go along with the poem, I was unable to do this for my example but that was my idea.
