The art of teaching project

This is the link for my wiki that I created for my e-portfolio. I was able to add my mind map with relative ease but wanted to make sure that I was on the right track with my title and layout before going to far and then having to figure out how to undo. I am really looking forward to incorporating the use of a wiki into my classroom and if I have the chance, create on in my methods course next semester.

Mind mapping 101

I have yet to figure out how I can make the basic task of follwoing step by step instructions tortorous and take forever. I have managed to create my Xmind mindmapping project. I couldn't even properly download the software which stressed me out and made the rest of the process frustrating. After finishing and taking a look at the finished project I am happy with it and hope that it was what Alex was looking for.
I had created an e-portfolio previously through taskstream, although I can't access it any more, I feel that the experience of creating that portfolio has helped me at least have an idea of what is looked for in a portfolio. This course is definitely broadening my multimedia abilities and I look forward to completing the final e-portfolio.

First attempt at Video

This is my first attempt at embadding a video I hope I got it. Thank you Sherry for your help.

Week 3 Reflection

In all honesty I was uneasy about setting up all these new accounts and unknown of what they had to offer and what they were going to require of me in the long run. Okay there aren't terrifying and once I got out of my change stinks funk and have grasped onto the concept of what social networking, bookmarking, and start pages have to offer I am psyched.
Social networking isn't what I had thought it to be. I have seen what my fiance and his friends do on facebook (writing on walls, taking goofy quizes, sharing bizarre youtube videos) and thought wow I have so much else to do when would I actually use this.
I am really stoked about the netvibes start page and am actually going to convert my fiance so that it will be our start page rather than google, he likes change about as much as I do but I think once he sees that Tony Kornheiser, NFL headlines, BBC, NPR, and the rest are right there plus he can create a new tab and add his own he will love it or at least deal with it.
Prior to this class I had used traditional bookmarking for sites that I went to at least three times a week about twenty bookmarks but other than that I couldn't stand the drop down list that went off the screen.
Over all the setting up and adding widgets and bookmarks was simple once I stopped overthinking what I was doing. I had a blast with the widgets and althought I couldn't figure out how to get the woody page video onto my start page or if I could watch vdieo of Around the Horn or Pardon the Interruption on my start page I was still excited about what I did have there right at my finger tips. Now I have to be good an not get caught up in the looking at what 's out there that I don't have as a widget or bookmarked in Diigo as it can be time consuming.
